Otterton Garden Club – Autumn Show 2017

Despite a less than ideal growing season, Otterton Village Hall was decked out with plenty of flowers fruit and vegetables as well as delicious cookery and preserves when Otterton Garden Club held its Autumn show on Saturday 9th September. Although entry numbers were a little down on previous years, quality was still high enough to give the judges a difficult job. Competition was close with the trophies on offer being well distributed amongst the entrants.

The weather on the afternoon of the show was somewhat showery but this did not deter a good number of people coming to enjoy the spectacle and partake in a cup of tea and a slice of home-made cake.

Our next meeting is on October 17th at 7:30pm in Otterton Village Hall which includes a talk on Camellias by Jeremy Wilson the ex Head Gardener of private estates and now specialist camellia grower of over 250 varieties. Admission to talks is free to members, £3.00 for non-members.
